Wine Tasting Notes: "Varietal Sangiovese offers primary flavors of tart cherry, red plum, strawberry, and fig, with subtle notes of roasted pepper, tomato, leather, clay, brick, tobacco, smoke, oregano, thyme, dried roses, or potpourri. On the nose, it offers aromas of earth and tea leaf."
Wine Folly Specific Traits: The main traits that I found on Wine Folly for Sangiovese wine is "Cherry, roasted tomato, sweet balsamic, oregano, and espresso"."
My Review: I loved this wine a lot! I noticed sweet balsamic flavors and cherry for sure. It was bold and had good body but wasn't too sweet at the same time. It was definitely on the drier, more tannic side and I found it to be really nice!
Food Pairings: I paired this wine with a steak salad with a lemon mustard vinaigrette and a side of fries with garlic aioli. It's obvious that red wine goes really well with steak, and this pairing was an overall success for sure!
